Blades Of Glory Breaks The Ice

Pros: Will Ferrell, what else can one want in a Sunday comedy?

Cons: Very predictable

The Bottom Line: Definitely better than watching a REAL ice show

How's that title? Cliché enough? This movie is pretty funny and the numbers don't lie. It beat out Tarantino and Rodriguez in the box office. Although, I guess that isn't so hard to do since "Ice Cube" did so too. Alas, this review is not about how awful Kurt Russell must feel being attached to yet another highly advertised disappointment. This review is why I am willing to spend 5 dollars and an hour and a half of my life on THIS movie.

Some comedies are only tolerable when I have a girl to make out with in the theater or a friend to pull a Mystery Science Theater 3000. This is the type of comedy which I can see by myself and still enjoy. It has Will Ferrell's trademark comedic over-acting as well as Jon Heder's Napoleon voice. This movie has the beautiful Amy Poehler and the cute Jenna Fischer (she's that girl that you would swear is Canadian but isn't).

The ending is obviously predictable in that the protagonist(s) are victorious. The plot is pretty much given to us in the television commercials for this movie. There wont be any big surprises or twists, don't go into the theater expecting them. Go in and expect what you do from a Will Ferrell movie, giggles.
