Martin Lawrence has no place in movies, he is simply not funny. What’s the worst that could happen is what the writer said to the producer when he was pitching this movie. The worst that could happen to a comedy happened in this mess of a script.
Martin Lawrence is a "funny" thief who seems to get away with stealing everything despite his lack of stealing skills. In one scene of the movie Martin and his sidekick in crime John Leguizamo somehow break into a 20 million dollar mansion, apparently the alarm was out of batteries. What they don't realize is the owner of the mansion is a rich business man with a fetish for rings (Danny Devito). Danny holds Martin at gun point as John L. sneaks away. The police arrive and take Martin Lawrence away but not before Danny Devito claims a ring that Martin was wearing which was given to him by his girlfriend belongs to Danny and that it is one of the things Martin stole.
The whole story is basically about this crappy ring. Martin and gang run around and steal from Danny Devito all day until he agrees to give back this ring.
This movie is complete garbage and in the middle of the movie I slit my wrists. Do not buy or rent this movie. Do not buy any movie that has touched this movie, it might be infected with badscriptitus. Cut off all contact with anyone who has watched this movie, they might be infected.
